Obsidian 

Obsidian is molten lava that cooled so quickly that it had no time to crystallize.

It comes in many forms and colours some of the most common being black, blue, snowflake and apache tear.

Black obsidian works extremely fast with great power it has truth enhancing, reflective qualities exposing weaknesses, flaws and blockages.

It is both protective and grounding associated with the base chakra and effective in blocking negative energy.

Obsidian is said to aid digestion of anything that is difficult to accept or, the physical digestion.

It can help to reduce stress by bringing to the front of the mind the causes of stress so that they can be confronted and laid to rest. It is said to forces one to face up to ones true self.

On a physical level it can also alleviate  joint pain, arthritis and cramp.
